Coolpad made its comeback in Nepal with the launch of Coolpad Cool 6 with aggressive pricing in the market. The launch of the Cool 6 also marked the global debut of the device. And, now the company is making a quick expansion in the country with the launch of its new budget smartphone, Coolpad N7 Plus. This is Coolpad’s second offering after their comeback in Nepal.
The smartphone was first launched in Pakistan but it is not listed on their official website yet. The handset boasts a 20MP camera on the rear and is available in single memory configuration i.e. 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM.

Coolpad N7 Plus Specifications Overview
Coming to aesthetics, the Coolpad N7 Plus is made up of polycarbonate material and boasts a dual-side glass body. On the back of the device, there is a pill-shaped camera module placed in the top left corner. There is also a fingerprint scanner in the middle.
The Coolpad N7 Plus comes with a 6.53-inch HD+ In-Cell display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 270ppi. Also, the display has a waterdrop notch on the top that houses the 20MP selfie camera. As per the company, the screen-to-body ratio on this device is 90.3%.
Coolpad N7 Plus is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, which is a 12nm chipset that includes 8 x Cortex-A53 cores operating at up to 2.0GHz. For graphics, this phone got an IMG GE8320 @ 650MHz GPU. The smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, which is expandable via a microSD card slot.
MediaTek Helio P22 is an outdated budget chipset that won’t offer good performance, especially at this price tag. There are several other smartphones available in the market like Redmi 9C, realme C11, etc. in a similar price range that offers MediaTek’s gaming-focused chipset from the Helio G-series. So, this is quite disappointing.
The N7 Plus flaunts a dual-camera setup enclosed inside a pill-shaped module with LED flash support on the rear. It includes a 20MP (f/2.2) primary camera accompanied by a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the front, the company has included another 20MP (f/2.2) camera for selfies and video calling.
The Coolpad N7 Plus is fueled by a non-removable 4,000mAh Li-polymer battery with a USB Type-C charging port, which is quite rear at this price range. A 10W power adapter is included inside the box.
Connectivity-wise, the smartphone supports dual SIM, 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS with GLONASS, FM Radio, 3.5mm Headphone Jack, etc.
For security and biometrics, the smartphone comes with a face unlock feature and a physical fingerprint scanner on the back. Out-of-the-box, it runs on the Android 10.0 operating system.

Well, Coolpad N7 Plus is a brand new budget smartphone from Coolpad that looks good and has a 20MP camera on both rear and front which is quite rare. However, it runs on Helio P22 chipset which is just average for the price. The camera setup looks fine and it has a decent 4000mAh battery. Its overall specs sheet is looking okayish for the price tag. But, there are better-specced handsets available in the market for the price.
