While the competition and innovation are fueling in the mid-range budget smartphone market with the likes of Realme and Xiaomi leading the charge. There is an underdog, ‘Infinix’ which has launched some of the most interesting smartphones under both entry-level and budget segments. As per our sources close to the company, Infinix is gearing up to extend its portfolio with the launch of two new smartphones dubbed Infinix Hot 8 and Infinix S5 in Nepal.
The budget smartphone maker, Infinix made its debut in Nepal with the launch of Infinix SMART4 in the market a couple of weeks ago. Now let’s have a look at the phone’s specifications, pricing, and things we get with the device.

Infinix Hot 8 Specifications & Features
The Infinix Hot 8 comes with a 6.52-inch LCD IPS display with HD+ (1600×720 pixels) resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. On the display, there is a water-drop notch on the top, and is covered by 2.5D Curved Glass. The handset offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3 percent.
Under the hood, the Infinix Hot 8 is powered by a 12nm-based octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, which is further coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. The room can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.
Talking about the camera, the Infinix Hot 8 comes with a total of 3 cameras at the rear. This includes a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus), a 2MP sensor for collecting depth information, followed by a dedicated low-light sensor and quad-LED flash support. On the front side, the smartphones boast an 8MP AI camera for selfies and video calling.
Out-of-the-box, the smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Infinix’s custom XOS 5.0 on top. The UI has tons of customization features counting Game Boost that boosts CPU and clearing RAM while gaming, a dedicated WhatsApp mode that lets only the texting app access the internet connection, and many more.
The inclusion of a 5,000mAh battery can be the strongest selling point for the Infinix Hot 8. By the way, there is no fast charging support on this device, which could be a little disappointing.

Infinix Hot 8 Price in Nepal and Availability
Available in two color options i.e. Quetzal Crystal and Violent, the Infinix Hot 8 has been priced at INR 6,999 for the sole model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage in our neighboring country, India. So, we expect that the Infinix Hot 8 price in Nepal will be somewhere around Rs. 14,999.
