In recent times, smartphone brands are all expanding to stay more relevant and grow their ecosystems. One of the most popular areas, which is witnessing the highest growth is the IoT and wearables industry. realme Band is the first fitness tracker from realme. And the launch of realme Band in Nepal is a small step from the company towards becoming a lifestyle player in the country. The realme Band is made from a light polymer material and is designed to fit all types of wrists. The TPU made detachable straps are 16mm wide with an adjustable length of 152mm-227mm.

realme Band flaunts a 0.96-inch curved TFT-LCD coloured display of 160×80 pixel resolution, which is capable of displaying 65K colours. The smart band supports five watch faces which can be changed via the realme Link app, and more dial faces will be added with future updates.

The realme Band doesn’t have a touch screen, so you have to use the circular capacitive touch button placed below the display to navigate the various modules within the smartband.

The Realme Band uses a PPG optical heart rate sensor located on the backside of the band that flashes a green-coloured light on your skin, which is reflected and read by the sensor to measure the heartbeats every five minutes. The realme Band also analyzes the sleep quality patterns accurately.

The realme Band provides support for nine sports modes such as Yoga, Run, Spinning, Cricket, Fitness, Hiking, Walk, Climbing, and Bike. However, the fitness band stores only 3 out of 9 sports modes. You can select a sport according to your requirements using the app. Whereas, the Cricket Mode is designed to address the needs of the Indian community, which will keep track of all your Cricket activities.

With the help of the Idle Alert feature on realme Band, you will be able to stay active because the tracker alerts you in case if you are inactive for a long time. Then it also has a Drink Reminder.

The band includes a unique 3-axis accelerometer sensor, which automatically wakes up the display when you lift your wrist. Also, the fitness band is robust enough as it is IP68 water-resistant and you can take it underwater there is no swimming tracking available.

The realme Band is fueled by a 90mAh battery, which company claims to offer six days of backup with heart rate monitoring. The band gets fully charged in about 1 hour and 47 minutes.

Unlike other competing fitness trackers, the Realme Band can be easily charged by directly connecting to the USB port. It is the best features of the smartband since you don’t need any additional cables to juice up the battery – just remove the band strap from the upper side of the display and insert the USB-A connector into a USB-A port for charging.
