The Samsung Galaxy A series is one of its most popular in the market right now. In fact, Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy A51 was apparently the best selling Android smartphone in the world during the Q1 of this year. Now, Samsung has officially launched a new Galaxy A series phone in Nepal — the Samsung Galaxy A21s.

The Galaxy A21s is an upgrade to the existing Galaxy A21, with a revamped 48MP quad-camera setup, a larger 5,000mAh battery, and more RAM. The Korean brand has also issued pricing for the smartphone i.e. Rs. 24,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant. By comparison, the Redmi Note 9 starts at just Rs. 22,999 for the 4GB/128GB variant.

Commenting on the launch of the smartphone, Mr. Pranaya Ratna Sthapit – General Manager at Samsung Mobile Nepal said, “Samsung is focused on bringing meaningful innovations to all its consumers. With Galaxy A21s, we are offering the ‘best of everything’ from our A-series line up– a true 48 MP quad camera, an immersive HD+ Infinity-O display, and a 5000mAh long-lasting battery. Galaxy A21s also comes with our signature defense-grade Samsung Knox security platform which ensures the safety and security of consumer data.”

Samsung Galaxy A21s Specifications and Features

Samsung Galaxy A21s boasts a 6.65-inch HD+ Infinity-O display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a 10:9 aspect ratio. There’s a hole-punch at the top left corner of the screen housing a 13MP selfie camera. Both the display and selfie camera are the same as what’s included with the Samsung Galaxy A21.

The main quad-camera setup gets an upgrade. There’s a 48MP primary sensor instead of the 16MP lens found on the A21. Whereas, the other three camera remains the same, including an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth camera, and another 2MP macro camera.

The Samsung Galaxy A21s also comes with other camera features such as 8X zoom, a dedicated food mode, and Ultrawide Panorama, etc. There is also a physical fingerprint sensor that rests in the center of the back panel just like the Galaxy A21.

The battery of the Galaxy A21s also gets a boost compared to its sibling. The device houses a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support that’s sure to make it last longer than the Galaxy A21 which has a 4,000mAh battery.

The company claims that the Galaxy A21s battery can last for up to 21 hours of video playback time on a full charge. This is something we need to check in our detailed review. For that, stay tuned with us.

Coming to the performance, the Samsung Galaxy A21s is powered by an octa-core Exynos 850 chipset that comes with AI-powered Game Booster 2.0 which company claims to improve frame rate and stability as well as reduces power consumption during gaming even in the maximum settings.

The smartphone comes in 4GB/6GB RAM options, paired with 64GB of storage. Currently, only the 4GB+64GB variant of Galaxy A21s is launched in Nepal. Users can also expand the storage of the phone up to 512GB via a microSD card.
